Artwork, Baby, decorating, Nursery

Felt.co.nz

Now that I know that I can officially begin to decorate the nursery, I’ve been looking to buy a few more prints to go on the walls.

Have you heard about Felt?  I came across it a few weeks ago.  It’s kind of like the New Zealand version of Etsy.  They have an entire section devoted to babies and children, and I was happy to see several things that I liked.  I’ve mentioned before that when it comes to decorating and outfitting baby boy’s nursery, I would prefer to get items that are made right here in New Zealand, and Felt provided a lot of reasonably priced options.

Here’s some of what I looked at…

“Dreams For Your Child” by AlmondDesign.

The above isn’t actually an NZ-based designer, but we’ll overlook that.  I’m sure she can’t help it that she lives in Australia 😉  {Am I adapting to Kiwi culture or what?!  Already engaging in some lighthearted ribbing on our antipodean cousins!}

“Quack Woof Moo!” by Fantail Digital Art

“Colourful Alphabet” by Cloud Nine Creative

“Frog Baby” by MissPrint Design

Of these 4, I’ve gone ahead and ordered 3 prints – #1, #2, and #4.  The nursery feels so dark that I wanted to try to liven things up as much as possible while still staying within a reasonable budget.  I love it when I can find stuff that’s reasonably priced, doesn’t come from a mass-marketed designer, and is locally based.

  1. I absolutely adore the first print & there aren’t even any babies in my life right now!

    I’ve been out of the loop a lot lately so had no idea you may have had to move! What’s up with that??
