Fever?  Check.

Cough?  Check.

Chills?  Check.

Headache?  Check.

Aches?  Check.

Just when I thought that we were in the clear and all of the winter bugs were dying off, I get sick.  Again.  I realize that this is all part and parcel of having a busy, involved toddler who goes to lots of different activities.  And I also realize that this is in part related to what I do professionally.

Still – enough already.  I’m thankful that Joe hasn’t gotten it this time around but in my opinion, mothers of small children should be exempt from this sort of thing.

That’s all.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to drown my troubles (and cough) in some more herbal tea with honey.

  1. Hope you’re on the mend to the bugs! Just reading about the winter colds makes me cringe already, as Fall is near! It’s been a great summer here with no colds so I’m definitely not looking forward to that part about the winter! Yikes. Also I saw about your loss and I’m very sorry.

  2. Oh no!!! I hope you feel better soon. Nothing worse than being sick when you have a little one to take care of. Hopefully Chris is able to give you some down time. My advice…get some of your favorite “comfort treats” and indulge…and get lots of rest!

  3. oh no! sorry to hear that 🙁 hope this time it clears up fast. Dad just came down with the exact same thing today! he feels terrible, all achey and has a sore chest.
