Apartment Hunting, Apartments, Indiana

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

Well, after several weeks + one afternoon’s worth of work, I’m happy to report that we’ve decided on an apartment for this coming August. Yay!

Before I tell you about it, let me just say this – if you’re in the apartment business, puh-leaze get yourself a website with decent pictures and hire people who are actually interested in customer service, okay?
Now that I’ve said that, let me tell you about the place. It’s a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhouse with a washer/dryer included, garage, all utilities paid except for electric, and a dog run for Bear. And the cost? Including utilities, it’s only $750 per month – awesome! Oh, how I love the Midwest and their low rents 🙂
I’m not going to tell you how I researched and came to a decision about the apartment, because if I did, you might form the belief that I’m off my rocker. I’ll just sum up by saying that multiple phone calls, emails, websites, Excel spreadsheets, and a calculator were utilized in my search, and that Chris laughed at how much detail and work I put into the whole process (the big meanie!). Seriously though, I’m pretty sure that he appreciated all of the hard work – it made his job a lot easier. His job, of course, being to agree with what I picked out, ha ha!
All we have to do now is fill out the application, fax it over, and wait for our paperwork to be completed. Cross your fingers that everything goes smoothly!

  1. That sounds like a really nice townhouse! I totally understand the feeling of relief after you finally find a place. =)

We definitely need to schedule a mini-reunion with as many of the club as we can get while you're back in Indiana! (I'm assuming you'll be visiting home at some point!)

  2. Aweeee! That is super exciting. You have me thinking of moving mid-west … sounds lovely! Xoxo-BLC

  3. Good luck with the apartment! That is very cheap, too 🙂 PS I love the title of this post!

  4. I happen to think Excel spreadsheets come in quite handy when making big decisions 🙂 Congrats on your new place!
