I have a new favorite cookbookSticky Chewy Messy Gooey: Desserts for the Serious Sweet Tooth, by Jill O’Connor. Doesn’t that sound just exactly like what a good cookbook should be called?I found out about it while perusing Hostess with the Mostess, one of the blogs that I check out on a fairly regular basis. After reading about some of the recipes and seeing some of the pictures, I had to buy it. I got it in the mail today, and everything in it looks absolutely scrumptious! Some of the recipes include Heart of Darkness Brownies, Chocolate Mayonnaise Cupcakes with Caramel-Butterscotch Buttercream Frosting, Cinnamon Donut Bread Pudding, Gooey Caramel Butter Bars (these look fabulous), and Devil’s Food Cake with Chocolate Mousse Buttercreammm. Wow. This book is a dessert lover’s dream come true.
