New Shoes (but they aren’t very pretty…)

My feet hurt. This may be due to the fact that I’m on them all the time, walking (or jogging) up and down the unit hall. And it may be due to the fact that my current pair of shoes is over 2 years old. Either way, it doesn’t really matter – part of being a nurse usually means having sore feet!

Since it had been awhile since I’d gotten a new pair of running shoes, I figured that I could go in and get some new ones. And by going in, I actually mean order them online. I have been getting my shoes from Road Runner Sports since I was a freshman in high school, and I absolutely love that store. I have gotten some shoes from there, worn them around for a few days, decided that I didn’t like them, and been able to exchange them for a different pair without paying for shipping. How cool is that?

Anyway. My shoes arrived in the mail today. You may laugh, but the absolute best shoes for someone like me (tall, super high arches, on my feet constantly) is… the Brooks Beast. I hate the name (what girl wants to wear shoes named “Beast”?), but they really are amazing.

I hope that this pair is as good as the last ones. If you have high arches, you’re on your feet for the majority of the day, and you don’t care about wearing shoes called “Beast”, then these are the ones for you 🙂
