Still Surviving Orientation

Another day of orientation, another day of wishing I could prop my eyelids open with toothpicks. The good news is that we finished early. We have a schedule that we are supposed to go by, but each speaker that comes in talks for around 5-10 minutes over their allotted time, resulting in the scheduling being pretty much useless. I think that the coordinator just kind of gave up on it by the end of the day.

Tomorrow I’m carpooling with two of my lovely fellow RNs to the West Roxbury campus (in Boston). The good news is that we should be done “way before” our 4:00pm stop time. The bad news is that I have to leave the house at 5:55am to meet the girls and make the drive. Even though Boston is less than 30 miles away, it can take up to an hour and a half to get there. Ugh.

  1. yep traffic is crazy, though that actually sounds like decent travel time. in seattle traffic can back up for two or three hours just to travel thirty to fifty miles!!! especially if it has rained, is rainig, or due to a traffic accident. also, when is your first offical day working, actually being a nurse to those who need nursing?
